Good teams don’t improve by accident.
I’m Tara Scott, and I’ve spent the past two decades helping organizations create clarity, alignment and scalable culture with a behavior-first approach to work.
Some teams come to me in a moment of real friction: a merger, a leadership transition, a team that has stopped trusting each other.
And some are performing well and want to keep growing.
Either way, the question is the same: what would it take to operate at your best with your team?
That can never be prescriptive. It takes actually understanding how your team uniquely works and then doing something together about it, in the room.
While most firms bring in a one-size-fits-all approach,
I start with a conversation .
Before I recommend anything,
I want to understand your world.
That means short conversations with the people closest to the work: attorneys, partners, team leads. Not a survey or an intake form. Just listening, so I understand where energy gets stuck, what's already working, and what would make the biggest difference.
I call these landscape conversations. From there I'll tell you what I think you need and why. Most engagements begin with a single working session. Many become something longer.
If you're not sure where to start, book a free landscape conversation. An hour, by phone or in person. No pitch, just an honest conversation and a recommendation.
How I Work
Working Sessions
Every engagement is different because every organization is different. After our landscape conversations, I’ll recommend one or more of the following.
THAW is for teams that have stopped deciding, stopped trusting, or stopped believing anyone knows where they're going. Lean thinking and behavioral strategy, together, in the room. Together, we’ll untangle the knots, align on goals and build momentum that actually holds.
Leveling Up Leadership With Lean is for leadership teams that are good, and always looking to improve. We apply lean thinking to how your team actually operates: how decisions get made, how work flows, where the friction lives. Practical, specific, and always built around your real work so you’ll leave with knowing your next step.
Breaking Permission Loops High-performing teams are honest with each other and make intentional decisions. I’ll measure the safety of where your team actually is, then run a working session that turns that data into real, practical change. The goal isn't a safer feeling. It's a team that can disagree, decide, and move faster by asking real questions.
Owning the Room is for leaders and teams who need to communicate with more clarity, confidence, and presence. Whether it's client presentations, internal meetings, or high-stakes conversations, this session closes the gap between what you know and how it lands.
Who is this for?
Leaders & law firms investing in their people.
You have talented teams who know how to win. What you want is for them to work better together: communicate more clearly, make decisions more efficiently, and build the kind of culture that retains good people and attracts better ones. I work with firms that are ready to treat that as a real investment, not a line item to cut.
Women leaders who want to operate differently.
You're good at what you do. You've earned your seat. And you're ready to lead in a way that actually reflects how you think, not just how you were taught to perform. The work we do together is practical, not theoretical. Tools, language, and real practice so you can show up more effectively with your team, your peers, and the people above you.
Organizations navigating change.
Acquisitions, reorgs, leadership transitions. When the structure changes, the team dynamics change with it. I work with organizations in the middle of that uncertainty to help people find their footing and move forward together.
